Cinemas favourite spies

We’ve all got our own personal super spy- a name who risks it all for their country, consequences be damned. Here’s the spies you’ll call upon to save the day and have a martini with afterwards.

Bond- James Bond. It just wouldnt be a list of top spies without him would it? Always well dressed, with the best gadgets and a gorgeous girl on his arm whilst saving the day, Bond showed us how to save the world with style. We will all argue over who is the best actor to play him, but 007’s abilities are never in any question. Bond is the person we think of when we hear the term ’spy’, and nobody does it better.

Harrry Palmer -Playing the anti Bond was Micheal Caine. Taking a completely different route to the Bond films, Palmers world was much gritter, and the man himself was a mirror image of 007. With glasses and lacking Bonds class, but certainly not his ruthlessness, Palmer proved himself to be a top spy in his own right.

Austin Powers -the 60s number one spy, who was unfroze in the 90s to fight Dr. Evil. A send up of all the great spy movies and spies, he had Bond gadgets, Palmers glasses, and his own unique charm. The mission would be successful, but not without a good laugh or twelve on the way. Not only have the movies successfully paid tribute to the spy movies of yesterday, but also given us catchphrases and a world all of its own.

Jason Bourne. It took alot of money and training to make him the best at what he can do, but the Bourne films begin with him close to death and with amensia. Bond had problems adapting to spying in this new century, but Bourne did, working in the crowds and shadows, but also operating in the open when it was absolutley needed. Tracked by the very people who’d trained him, it was their very training that saved him time and again.

After spy gadgets, such as voice recorders and surveillance equipment? Look no further
